Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra Program Books
Hired mid-season by the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, I designed and managed 44-page program books for one to two concerts each month. I quickly adapted to their established brand standards while overseeing layouts, coordinating advertiser materials, and managing multi-party proof approvals. Each concert required a separate, fully produced program on a tight schedule, often involving multiple deadlines for submissions, proofing, and final print delivery.
In addition to core design responsibilities—including program pages, musician rosters, and covers—I introduced a custom “Symphony Superheroes” feature for a themed pops concert, spotlighting principal musicians through engaging graphics and bios. I carefully navigated complex production timelines, collaborating with the conductor, musician manager, and lead designer to manage printed proofs and approvals. The result was a series of polished, engaging publications that enhanced the concert experience while strengthening my skills in creative problem-solving, multi-stakeholder coordination, and deadline-driven production.
